MANADA is an open source movement that can be activated by all kind of bodies; as by our bodies. In this two day dance laboratory we will explore the idea of care through bodily actions. The actions of care were historically assigned to women and in this laboratory we will explore these physical actions, with the possibility to take them into public space:
To carry
To push
To pull
To rest
To be in the skin of the other person.
Departing from these actions we will practice methodologies from social choreography and collective pedagogies through movement and words. The methodologies of MANADA (herd) have been activated with different groups in laboratories and during each one different materials and experiences arise, coming from the following question: How to activate other dynamics of social (design) organisation, from the ones proposed by capitalism, to those of the contemporary feminist movement and discourses?
Note: no previous dance or performance experience is required.
